The Yellowstone River is a tributary of the Missouri River and stretches approximately 692 miles long. Depending on where you are and the time of year the river can be wide and calm, or narrow and roaring! This was the early Spring run off in Yellowstone Canyon, just a few miles down from the falls. You can feel the power of the water from the lookout platforms above the canyon. An amazing site to see!
