Fall in Yellowstone is a great time to see the big bull bison. They become quite animated during the rut. This big guy had been rolling in the grass and was covered in a white coating of loose dirt. This now whitish bison was the perfect palate to overlay  a subtle American Flag. So he was named, Patriotic Bison.
